The eagerly anticipated patch for Football Manager is finally released. News was posted around 3pm yesterday so hopefully the initial rush has died down and anyone trying now should be able to get a decent speed

EDIT: It seems there is a new bug with regards to contract renewals. Read more on this here. An updated patch has been promised soon.

EDIT2: The updated patch is now technically available via community.sigames.com, although you'll be lucky to find a mirror with a decent transfer rate currently. It's an 80.6Mb download and I am currently only managing 5.7KB/s

OK. The patch can now be grabbed from fmwiki. I got a solid 150KB/s from there just now.

Comparing the two patches in filesize (right click & select properties):
Old 7.0.1 patch = 80.8 MB (84,812,288 bytes)
New 7.0.1 patch = 80.5 MB (84,511,744 bytes)

The only way to check you are patched upto the latest version is to run the game, load up your save and when presented with the game status screen check the version. It SHOULD say 7.0.1 92685 as shown in this screenshot.

Ahh a thought so, ok cool, I will d/load the new patch tonight!

Got it! only took about 5 minutes with a d/load speed of 200k per second
